The longest piece I’ve ever written has been about 20-30ish pages, as far as I can recall. It was poorly constructed and failed midway through. Mostly, in the past, I’ve been working at things linearly (as that’s how I usually do short stories) but I’ve realized that I can’t use that approach for longer pieces; I’m currently writing a new long piece which I’m approaching in instances rather than a linear progression of plot. We’ll see how it turns out…

Why did it fail? I personally lose the voice I start with after writing anything longer than 4-5 pages. I hope this one goes well. Sparks of inspiration.
